Sven Bauer

Co-Founder & CTO, Naventik GmbH

Sven, born on April 2nd, 1984 in Dresden/ Germany, is Co-founder, Co-CEO and CTO of NAVENTIK. After graduating in Computer Sciences at the University of Technologies Dresden (Master), he started working as a research associate at the Chair of Communications Engineering in Chemnitz. During his R&D at the University, he developed the GNSS navigation algorithms of PATHFINDER. He also led close industry projects in the field of Drivers Assistance Systems with global players like Denso or Audi. Within NAVENTIK, he leads the algorithm development of PATHFINDER to meet all automotive requirements in terms of safety and reliability.

NAVENTIK, a highly awarded German Startup company, provides POSITIONING SOLUTIONS FOR VEHICLE AUTONOMY. Founded in 2017, the company developed the PATHFINDER Technology, a software-defined radio approach for the satellite navigation (GNSS) sensor plus fusion algorithms for deep integration of GNSS data into the vehicle localization stack. Based on the generation of a “multi hypothesis approach” and integrity data (covariance measurements to each position candidate), NAVENTIK delivers tailored solutions for use cases like ADAS level 3, 4 and 5 and vehicle automation in railway and robotic use cases. NAVENTIK PATHFINDER enables ADAS and Autonomy developers to leverage positioning performance (accuracy, precision, robustness and integrity) from the existing sensor stack (e.g. LIDAR, RADAR, IMU or CAN Data) in combination with PATHFINDER SPP, D GNSS or RTK algorithms - directly embedded on the automotive ECU. The highly scalable PATHFINDER approach for direct ADAS integration, validation and testing significantly reduce time to market and cost by substituting legacy GNSS INS devices. NAVENTIK provides PATHFINDER under R&D software licenses plus integration and development support for localization tasks worldwide.
